Prevent injuries, improve recovery time, and level up your climbing by learning the basics.

Let’s be real… climbing injuries are weird. They are most often very specific to the sport of climbing, and drawing parallels between climbing injuries and injuries in other sports is difficult at best. In order to treat climbing injuries, it’s possible to pull from the research done on other sports and/or cherry pick treatments that work for other types of injuries, but this may only get us 50% of the way.

To best treat climbing injuries, it is imperative to have a working knowledge of the sport itself, its demands on the body, injury trends, and treatment patterns.

PS: If you want to see this space evolve more rapidly, you can donate toward making that happen. Carrie is a full-time physical therapist, and for now, these resources are a passion project that she works on in her free time. She’d love to be able to devote more time and funds to creating helpful information for the climbing community, but we could use your help!
