Dr. Carrie Cooper, DPT
Carrie is a pioneer in the field of climbing medicine and a recognized expert in climbing finger injuries. She’s worked with everyone from weekend warriors to Olympians. She blends deep anatomical knowledge with movement analysis to uncover the root of pain and performance issues. Her sessions integrate Pilates-based rehab to assess and retrain dysfunctional patterns, manual therapy and dry needling to restore mobility, and targeted strength work to build durability. Whether you're returning from injury or refining your movement for peak performance, Carrie offers a highly individualized, research-informed path forward.
Dr. Jen yarin, dpt
Jen specializes in individualized, sport-specific rehabilitation and strength programming that supports injury recovery, performance, and long-term athletic resilience. In her sessions, she blends progressive exercise prescription with targeted strength work and evidence-based interventions, including Blood Flow Restriction training, manual therapy, and dry needling. Her approach is grounded in meeting each athlete exactly where they are and building a clear, personalized plan to move them forward.
A lifelong climber with over 18 years of experience, Jen understands the unique physical demands of climbing and uses that lens to design programs that help athletes return to the activities they love. She competed in youth and collegiate circuits, coached youth teams, and continues to pursue her own outdoor goals—experience that informs her ability to bridge clinical rehab with real-world performance needs.
Beyond her clinical practice, Jen contributes to the advancement of climbing medicine as a senior teaching assistant with the Climbing Special Interest Group, mentoring PT students in climbing-specific rehabilitation. Her professional work includes developing a BU DPT capstone on youth finger growth-plate injuries, attending the 2023 Canadian Climbing Medicine Symposium, and earning her Clinical Athlete Provider Certification.
Jen’s treatment philosophy is simple: targeted programming, thoughtful progression, and collaborative care that takes you from where you are to where you want to be.
